November 3, 2008: This Week @ the Library




Kindergarten Students will be reading stories about funny farm animals.  They will use the Smart Board to create classroom graphs about their favorite farm animals.

 

First Graders will read As the Roadrunner Runs and learn about making maps.

 

Second Graders will read The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds and will be able to talk about the setting, the characters and the plot (beginning, middle, and end) of the story.

 

Third Grade Students will learn how to log on to the Library Catalog, search for a book and place a hold for a book.

 

Fourth Graders will use the library catalog to find books in the non-fiction section of the library.

 

Fifth Grade Students will use the library catalog to find books in the fiction sections of the library.

 

Sixth grade students will do a think-pair-share and talk about what makes a good story.
