This week holds several events that focus on Early Literacy. Staff, Students, Parents and Volunteers will all be working to support literacy efforts that begin early in a child’s life.

• September 30: Preschool Story Day @ Washington Library. We welcome our youngest students to the library to celebrate our love of our Teddy Bears!
• September 30: Kindergarten Reading Program for Parents — 5:30 PM. A chance for parents to meet with the Kindergarten Teachers and learn how they can support their child’s growth in Reading.
• October 2: Read For the Record. Our students from Preschool to 6th grade participate in the Nation’s largest Read Aloud event to bring awareness to Preschool Literacy and its importance in a child’s development.
